LO5 D2: Evaluating the negative impact of my product

Image
This product could cause some negative impacts on the users and society, some people will not like the idea of not needing to go to a store to buy their clothing and try it on whilst others like the idea of it. A few issues that could occur with the idea of this app is moral panic or people becoming antisocial and people loosing their jobs in stores, the possibility of people developing body dysmorphia due to them not liking the idea of what they look like when their avatar is created.  An negative impact that could occur due to this app could be the development of body dysmorphia which could further lead t eating problems, this could occur from people having to measure themselves to create their avatar and further seeing what they look like. This situation would be hard to avoid however a method that I could include could be from adding compliments on the screen once people’s avatars are created such as “beautiful” or “handsome,” from including these phrases it would comfort the user

LO5: Evaluation of Feedback

To improve my product I will be considering the feedback that I gathered from my presentation, this feedback includes the main points of me needing to add a favouriting feature, tagging items section, suggestion section from the liked items and a tagging link for the items. I was also advised to do research into software such as Unity and Blender to create the product, these was said to be suitable platforms to investigate.  The feedback I was given from my peers and Anne Doncaster has suggested to me that I need to change the colour palette that I have used and to suggest to add more forms of colour to the apps design. However, an issue that I may come across when doing this is I could possible push the app towards one gender, if this occurs it would cause issues with the app and the success it would have for it could be seen as too 'girly' or too 'boisterous.' To help avoid doing this I will be considering using the neutral colours such as orange so the app can appeal

LO5: Feedback Anne Doncaster

These are the improvements that Anne Doncaster gave to me to improve my product: - A section where the users can tag clothing items with a form of link that users can use to send to others making it easier for people to access the same clothing items.  - Having favourites section where the person can like the items so the app can become more personalised for the user and easier to find the items they like. - Include a suggestion section that has been generated from the favourited/liked items
